An Open Letter to Mozilla

I write this Open letter to Mozilla, as a long time user of Firefox.

Okay so there are probably users who have used this browser longer then I have, But when my friend introduced me to Firefox 2, I thought it was the best thing since sliced bread, the add-ons, the themes, the options, the speed, it was the opposite of everything IE was, and that made it awesome, so I stuck to it for years, then FF 3 came out and I couldn’t believe Mozilla had made it better.
So if we can sum that last paragraph up, I am a Firefox fanboy.

Then Chrome came along, after few months of hearing how great it was (and being a Google fanboy) I tried it, and you know what? I don’t like it, oh it beats Internet Explorer, it’s a decent browser, but I don’t like how minimalist it is, it’s just not Firefox, and so of course I stuck with my old favorite.
Then with a bang came out Firefox 4, I will admit, it was due for a new version, even though 3 was still working like a brand new pony, But I went with the flow, though disappointed immensely and confused at Mozilla’s crazy idea that people wanted it to be like Chrome, with all its minimalistic silliness and rubbish, but thankfully there was a way to make it almost like 3, See I have always compared Firefox to an American muscle car (like a Ford Mustang GT), Big, full of features, powerful, and chrome to a Mazda MX5, small, buzzy and kind of silly. But the only thing Firefox didn’t do that I liked about chrome was install add-ons on the fly (AKA no restarting), but I grew to love it just like it predecessors, all the while hearing about this rapid release schedule crap to be like Chrome.

And then comes out Firefox 5, not 2 years later, not even 6 months later, but 3 bloody months later,  (Bugging me to update 5 times a day)I don’t know about you, but I find that ridiculous, and with more trying to be Chrome, seriously Mozilla, do you buy a burger because it looks and tastes like a hotdog? Well Chrome is that hotdog, I don’t want the hot dog I want the burger, so why are you trying to give me a hotdog?

So the TL:DR version
Mozilla please stop trying to be like Chrome, your fans choose Firefox because they like Firefox, and I for one are sick of my Firefox trying to be like Chrome. And let us install add-ons without restarting.

Have You Reconfigured The Internal Flux Capacitor?

At varsity a friend was installing win7 on another friend's lappy, so across the room, I'm sitting with some other friends, he asks me: "must I choose x64 or x86," so I tell him x86 because that is actually x32, so the 2 people I was sitting with turn to me and say: "english please?"And I explain what we where talking about in simpler terms. So later on the friend who is installing win7 shouts across that it has failed, so I should back "Have you reconfigured the internal flux capacitor?" Looks on the 2 non nerds faces? Priceless :D
